Voting for the UK Festival Awards 2009 has started as fan rush to vote and support their favorite stars. This gives us the definitive say on another amazing festival year.
As always, your votes are needed to help decide the summer’s very best events, bands, songs and moments.

There are 21 categories in total, spanning everything from ‘Best Headline Performance’, ‘Anthem of the summer’ and Virtual Festival’s Critic’s Choice Award’.

Glastonbury 2010: ‘trying for the world’s best headliners’

In an interview for the official “Glastonbury Festival” website, organizer Michael Eavis has admitted that following this year’s success ‘expectations are high’ for next year’s event. The festival chief is aiming to ace the success of 2009 in June 2010 when Glastonbury celebrates its 40th anniversary.

“People are very interested in this 40 year thing,” said Eavis, “everywhere I go, people are asking about. The expectations are really high. So we have to deliver on that. We’re trying to get the best headliners in the world.”

“Serbia’s Exit Festival 2010” tickets out for sale

Serbia’s Exit Festival 2010 is offering 1,000 ‘discounted first come first serve’ tickets at 2009 prices. The tickets are on sale now and cost £72 and will increase marginally to match the 2010 cost once the offer has finished.

The Schedule for the event is yet to be fully confirmed for 2010, but organizers say that it will take place in early July, as usual, in Petrovaradin Fortress, Novi Sad.
